NO BLANDS

In various regions across the globe, individuals possessing supernatural powers reign as new aristocratic classes or god-like dictators, while clashing repeatedly with opposing vigilante Super forces, causing national borders to lose their meaning beyond mere ink on maps and creating a normalized state of near-anarchy where the functions of a constitutional state are overwritten by the superiority or inferiority of physical force. In economic activities as well, under circumstances where the safety of logistics is unguaranteed and unpredictable superhuman disasters occur frequently, insurance systems and financial markets fall into dysfunction, and the global economy has likely regressed beyond block economies into securing survival zones at the city-state level. In such a desperate world situation, the fact that "Supers have not been confirmed" only in the island nation of Japan in the Far East attains unprecedented significance as a "sanctuary" pregnant with geopolitical miracles or perhaps artificial eeriness, going beyond a mere statistical singularity. As the world is exhausted by the rampage of individual power and civilized infrastructure is being destroyed, the situation where only Japan maintains the old physical laws and social order has paradoxically resulted in elevating the nation of Japan itself into the world's sole "platform for stable civilization." The background to the Japanese government perceiving this situation as an "opportunity" involves a cold calculation for an island nation lacking resources and military might to survive in this chaotic new world and even grasp hegemony; the "order" they uphold is not merely the maintenance of public safety but their strongest export product and diplomatic card against foreign nations frightened by the uncertain element of Supers. In other words, to the governments and populaces of various nations exhausted by the dominion of Supers, Japan presents a model case of a "society comprised only of humans ruled by law and reason where Supers do not exist," and it is conjectured that by providing the know-how for its maintenance and management, or organizational and technical solutions capable of countering Supers, they intend to establish an "authority" in a dimension different from traditional economic or military power.
